Review of INKAAR

Half-toned, with in number of ideas under their belly!

Two good-looking and smart, ambitious individuals work in an ad agency – Maya (played by Chitrangda Singh), and Rahul (played by Arjun Rampal). An incident takes place. We see two takes on the same story.  Bangs on between harmless flirtations and accuses of sexual harassment.

Once I come out from the movie, I can remember only the ending part, the way it was ended, it’s very rare to see this type of ending in the Bollywood.

Films remains on half incomplete, with plot happening longest three days in the movie, sinkinering to back-back flashbacks, starts on interesting notes with an outside investigator and social worker Deepa Naval showing up at the agency to conduct a closed-door probe, as Maya drafts a complaint on Rahul varma  for sexual harassment. And on tehnical not Shantnu Moitra’s tunes are hummable but could not hold the audience in the seam of his past exciting compositions.

As Inkaar made in backdrop of Advertising Industry, where in number of ideas lie in front of us, in that aspect Inkaar missed its main body, if that had been, it could have end on interesting notes. That shows Mishra’s less of reach on advertising industry, where it tags to brunch of unexciting characters around Maya & Rahul varma.

I am going with two stars out of five for Mishra’s “Inkaar”.

Great Experience of Master Class at AISFM

Today, been a great experience for me at AISFM

It’s a very pleasure to see two great people in the film world, Jeffrey Stanzler & Barry Braverman, and location happened to be our AISFM, a perfect set to have a genius master class by this two film chaps.

Thanks, AISFM for arranging this Master Class, it’s a high worth exercise experience, discussed some great stuff in the master class.
The class move was a stand a lot talk, I say which will help me tomorrow when I shoot a film, their in-depth inputs, and tricks will definitely points in me.

I have packed many things in my bag from this master class, one that mainly discussed stuff SHOOTING a SCENE from point of view of a cinematographer, how it’s very important to have an  idea from cinematographer on shooting a scene, to consider right position of characters in the frame and lighting techniques. Appreciate AISFM for setting a live indigenous set design, OUT-OF-LIVE experience that proves to be International Standards and One of finest best film school in India.

Thursday Early morning show on YouTube of Les Choristes"

A classy film, which bends on high-able background score, and less involve of female characters in the movie, that’s true film to watch for me.

Some fine performance by all the characters, loved it and freshness in the all characters.

Top class performance from the character Mathieu, (still I remember the character name, that’s effect on me, I have seen this movie back down to two days ago, and I still wet the characters of the movie.

The movie does not any location, completely runs in board school, and spells on life of wayward children in the boarding school.  Character of Principal, true sense to watch it, a brilliant performance from him, and other performance to be remind is characters of the children’s.
Technically, had top class, and big bow goes to the director Christophe Barratier, who made film look natural and got fine performance from lead roles. Combined on single location, never roomed to the boredom loop, well versed characters and especially the character of Music teacher, where the movie interprets on music choir line, is exploited brilliantly as backdrop of the story and full of great music and fine piece of short-telling.

Final word, a beautiful movie!
